New, Contemporary, Fun

These are all exciting words in my vocabulary.  I thrive on change!  So Tuesday night I downloaded this NEW pattern, Urban Birthday, from Sew Kind of Wonderful,, and started this cute little prototype (ha!  read post below for more info).  I also used Jenny's wonderful idea of creating my own NEW wavy panto.  Thanks Jenny!

We have recently completely renovated our backyard and I love our NEW cedar fence.  It is perfect for hanging quilts, isn't it?  I tried out a NEW thread!  Lava by Superior.  Love it!  So many NEW things for me this week!

  2. Love that quilt...both the design and the quilting! For some reason it's reminding me of lava lamps from the late '60s... not that you're old enough to remember those...
