Just about the time I decided that I needed to take a break from customer quilting...to strengthen my back, to stop and smell the roses, we got an offer on our home. Funny how things happen in life? I will be storing my machine until I find a permanent home in Montana near our daughters. I will be traveling between Montana and California for a couple years since my husband is still working, and still really enjoying his job. In the meantime, our grands are just getting older and I want to be near them ASAP.
Okay, so on with the quilt! I decided to make this a free motion quilt sampler, doing a different design in each row. Since it's my daughter's and it won't be shown ( mostly because I rushed through it and it's not show worthy) I really played around with it. Thanks for stopping by!!

Mary the quilt turned out lovely -- your quilting is always beautiful. Best of luck on your trek to Montana - it's such a beautiful state. Let us know where you settle -- I have an family in Missoula - they LOVE it there!
Your daughter must be thrilled! The quilting looks fantastic. Good luck with your move.
Mary, looks fabulous! Bold choice to go with the colored thread on the black, it looks greta.
The quilt is gorgeous! How lucky you are that you get to move close to your family. And to live in Montana, too. What a lucky lady! How I would love to get out of California.
It truly is beautiful. I'm sad to read that you won't be quilting for a while but I so understand.
Mary~it's truly awesome, love your quilting choices!!
Your quilting is spectacular. Looks like you had fun with your sampler patterns. I believe a winning quilt is one the quilter enjoyed making and the receiver enjoys using. I think you made a Freudian slip, you said you quilt is "now show worthy".
Actually I would like to see your quilt in a show.
LOVE the quilting/designs on this quilt-it is spectacular!
